Terms of Service for SofaReel

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to the SofaReel Android application, package com.sofareel.drama (the “App”), and the website at https://sofareel.com (the “Website”). Kelvotra LLC provides the App and Website and publishes the App on Google Play under the public developer name “Melanie Dawn Gainey” (“SofaReel,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By installing, accessing, or using the App, you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the App. Our Privacy Policy describes information handling and forms part of these Terms.

1. What the App provides

SofaReel is an advertising-supported Android entertainment App that may include:

• Short-drama discovery, recommendations, categories, and title search.
• Drama details, episode selection, video playback, and playback recovery.
• Continue Watching, Watch History, My List, and likes without an account.
• App language settings and eligible content-recall notifications.
• An optional Android Home screen, app drawer, local app search, shortcuts, and quick drama access.
• Analytics, crash reporting, installation attribution, remote configuration, and advertising.

Features and content can differ by version, device, Android version, language, country or region, permission state, license availability, network condition, and service configuration. We do not promise that every drama, episode, language, image, stream, recommendation, or feature will always be available.

2. Eligibility and responsibility

The App is not directed to children under 13. A person below the age of legal majority may use it only with permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms.

You may use the App only lawfully and with respect for the rights of others. You are responsible for your device, network connection, viewing choices, default Home app selection, and activity performed through apps or links you open from the optional launcher.

3. Limited license

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to install and use the App on compatible Android devices for lawful personal use, subject to these Terms.

Unless applicable law expressly allows it, you may not sell, rent, sublicense, distribute, copy, reverse engineer, decompile, extract source code, bypass security or advertising controls, interfere with operation, scrape or systematically collect content, use automated access, or use the App to create a competing service.

4. Content access and local App state

Drama videos, images, text, metadata, and related materials are provided for personal viewing through the App. They may belong to licensors, content providers, or other rights holders. Access does not transfer ownership or grant a right to download, record, redistribute, publicly perform, sell, modify, or use content outside the App except where applicable law expressly allows it.

Watching history, My List, likes, playback progress, and language are generally kept on your device. Recent drama searches are not saved. Local records may be lost when you clear App storage, uninstall the App, change devices, or when Android backup or transfer is unavailable. SofaReel does not provide an account-based cloud backup and should not be relied on as permanent storage of a viewing library.

Content identifiers, availability, episode order, images, playback addresses, subtitles, and language options can change. If an item expires, is removed, becomes unavailable in your region, or can no longer be matched, a local bookmark, history record, or Continue entry may stop working or be removed.

5. Optional launcher and notifications

Using SofaReel as the default Android Home app is optional. Android keeps your current Home app unless you choose SofaReel in system settings, and you can change the default Home app later. Skipping or leaving Launcher setup does not prevent use of the drama features.

The optional launcher may display and search installed apps, open apps you select, create shortcuts, and provide quick entry to SofaReel features. We do not control third-party apps opened from the launcher or the content, permissions, security, or behavior of those apps.

On supported Android versions, SofaReel may request notification permission from Discover and may retry a prompt you close without explicitly denying it, subject to a limited retry policy. Explicit denial stops automatic prompts. Notification permission is optional and does not affect drama browsing or playback.

6. Advertising

The App may show interstitial and native advertising through Unity LevelPlay mediation. Ads can be supplied through the SDKs and mediation adapters listed in the Privacy Policy. An adapter may be included in a released package even if the provider is not currently receiving traffic; requests depend on version, location, consent, and service configuration. Advertisements are not endorsements by us, and advertisers are responsible for their products, claims, destinations, and transactions.

Ad format, content, availability, frequency, and personalization may vary. A failed, unavailable, or closed advertisement should not intentionally prevent a basic content or launcher action, but we do not promise that every ad or destination will be available, suitable, safe, or error-free.

7. External and content services

When the App requests content, images, or video; opens another installed app; submits a web search; follows an advertisement; sends email; visits Google Play; or otherwise uses a third-party service, information necessary for that request is transferred to the relevant service. Its terms and privacy policy then apply.

We do not control third-party apps, websites, content-delivery networks, search results, advertisements, products, availability, security, or data practices. Network charges and mobile-data limits from your carrier or provider remain your responsibility.

8. Prohibited use

You must not use the App or Website to:

• Break a law, regulation, court order, contract, copyright, trademark, privacy, confidentiality, publicity, or other right.
• Copy, record, download, redistribute, publicly perform, alter, sell, or commercially exploit drama content without authorization.
• Introduce malware, exploit a vulnerability, interfere with a device, API, media service, ad system, or network, or evade a security, geographic, technical, or advertising control.
• Obtain or attempt to obtain content-provider credentials, signed media addresses, source code, non-public APIs, or another person’s information.
• Misrepresent identity or authority, commit fraud, manipulate attribution or advertising events, or enable deceptive conduct.
• Abuse support, analytics, automated-access, rating, notification, or advertising systems.
• Remove or obscure legal, ownership, content-source, or advertising notices.

9. Intellectual property

The App, Website, software, design, branding, and related materials belong to us or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. Drama content and related materials belong to their respective rights holders. These Terms do not transfer that ownership to you.

Third-party names and marks, including Android, Google Play, Firebase, Unity LevelPlay, ironSource, AdMob, AppLovin, AppsFlyer, and advertising-network names, remain the property of their owners and do not imply sponsorship or endorsement.

10. Updates and availability

We may add, modify, suspend, remove, replace, or restrict content and features to improve the product, maintain compatibility, respond to licenses or provider changes, meet security or policy needs, or operate the service. Updates may be delivered through Google Play and may be required for continued use.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted App, Website, content API, image, or video availability; support for every device, language, network, content item, Android version, advertising provider, or region; or error-free operation.

11. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent allowed by law, the App, Website, content, recommendations, and third-party services are supplied “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, quality, completeness, and error-free operation.

Drama descriptions, categories, popularity labels, recommendations, translations, subtitles, and availability may be supplied or derived from content providers and may contain errors or change without notice. Nothing here excludes a warranty or consumer right that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, local history, access, profit, business, goodwill, or opportunity arising from the App, Website, content, advertising, network service, or a third-party service.

Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the minimum amount permitted by law. Some jurisdictions do not allow particular exclusions or limitations, so part of this section may not apply to you.

13. Ending use or access

You may stop using and uninstall the App at any time. If SofaReel is your selected Home app, Android may require you to choose another Home app before uninstalling it.

We may suspend or end access where reasonably necessary for unlawful use, abuse, fraud, security risk, policy breach, legal or licensing requirements, provider changes, or service discontinuation. Provisions that should logically survive continue after termination, including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and applicable legal terms.

14. Governing rules and disputes

Applicable law governs these Terms without removing mandatory consumer protections in your country or region. A dispute will be handled by a court or authority with lawful jurisdiction unless applicable law requires another process.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms when the App, content, providers, business model, or legal requirements change. The current version will be posted at https://sofareel.com/terms/ and the “Last updated” date will change. Additional notice will be provided before a material change where required. Continued use after revised Terms take effect constitutes acceptance to the extent allowed by law.

16. Severability and complete agreement

If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect, and the affected provision will be interpreted as closely as law permits to its intended purpose. These Terms and the Privacy Policy form the agreement concerning the App and Website, except for additional terms applied by a particular content or third-party service.
